Wine and Wings, Blossoms and Venom is much more than its title. Collected through the years (1998-2005), it is poetically the fears that haunt me and the strengths that keep me standing. It is the median from my personal space to the world. This collection is an intimate look into me; it reveals my vices and virtues, leaving no secrets untold. My only hope is that this collection will evoke a sense of self in every kind of person, and challenge you to look at the reflection of yourself found in another’s free expression. To put it plainly, this is the embodiment of me. Enjoy.
T. Renee Perry was born in Gainesville, Florida. She attended Florida State University, where she studied psychology and earned her degree in English. The collection, Wine and Wings, Blossoms and Venom, reveals her personal poetic journey from 1998 through 2006, and she is currently working on her heavily poetic fictional novel, Choosing Just One. She resides and teaches in north-central Florida.
